1924 ~ 2010

Frederick Willard Nichols, Jr, passed away from natural causes onJuly 20, 2010 with his wife by his side. 'Will' was born in SaltLake City, Utah, September 8, 1924, and spent his growing up yearsthere. He served in the Navy during World War II. After returning hemarried Ramona Pexton on September 10, 1948. He graduated from the Uof U with a degree in Architecture. Will was always happy andenjoyed sharing his sense of humor with those around him. Will was apartner in the firm Nichols Naylor Architect, until retiring at theage of 80. He was from the old school of drafting with paper andpencil. He expressed his talents as an architect designing buildingsat Hogle Zoo and commercial buildings throughout the city. His prideand joy was designing of schools for the Jordan School District.

Will is survived by his wife, Ramona; children, Cary (Patricia),Kristi Naylor (Russell), Shelley Fenton, and Tracy (Michelle); 13grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren with two more on the way;and sister, Anita Bader. He is preceded in death by his sister,Dorothy Geary.

The family would like to thank all those at Legacy House ofTaylorsville, and Haven Home Health and Hospice for all the carethey have given to Will.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 on Friday, July 23 atMount Olivet Cemetery, in Salt Lake City.
